Hi:
I will be the owner of a white 2012 Pure this Friday :)
I currently own a Suzuki x-90 that is for sale on ebay.
I hope the Smart car is just as legendary as the Zuk.
By the way, if anyone knows what the tallest tires I can put
on the stock rims are, I would consider them a Guru and thank them.
Sincerely,
Mark F.

Welcome! You'd be surprised how many smart owners are prior X-90 owners. Enjoy that car once you get it. They do have a lift kit for them where some people have put taller tires on but they also made a switch to aftermarket rims. If you have the optional wheels on your new car you may not need new factory rims for taller tires but you'll need a lift kit to fit the bigger tires in the wheel wells.

Welcome to the forum! :)

The forum consensus seems to be 185/60 is the max size, but with a little rubbing on the front. I personally run 195/50 at all four corners now with no problems over the past 50K miles. I'd really like to move to 195/55, but that is an unknown at this point.

Also, it's just not the height, it's the different size issue between front and rear. The fronts are a different size wheel and tire, but many people go to the same size all the way around. You can read more about both topics here:

Just to confuse things even more, the smart's ESP will have a fit if the tires vary too much from the stock circumference so watch that when tire shopping. :)

I hope the Smart car is just as legendary as the Zuk.
I think in the US the smart is more infamous than legendary, at least at this point.
