I'm doing this a bit out of order, but wanted to make my 'I'm new here' post before too much time goes.

Im the happy new owner of a 2016 Smart 453 Passion. I was in an multiple car pileup in my 451 a few weeks ago and as soon as they declared it totaled, I had this new one lined up and bought 4 days later. These are my favorite DD cars and I think I'll always have one.

Side note, it's amazing how much better the 453 drives, i love it, but do sort of miss how rough around the edges the 451 drove. that's part of what gave it personality.

Yeah, the 451 was a little “rough around the edges” but once you settle in with your 453 you will never look back! Even after 2 years I’m still amazed at my 453.

oh yeah I know there's pretty much no looking back, its crazy how much better it is. the power steering I've found is almost too sensitive so that's the biggest adjustment.

but looks and performance, all round better imo

Nichy, welcome to the 453. Car looks nice, the white is sharp. Like you I came from a 451 and hands down I have a little different or even more love for my 453. I'm behind on my intro. as well, so I look forward to joining you with adding my own "Hello from Texas".

Any mods. in mind or keeping it basic for DD? In my opinion, it's the perfec DD, when your driving a smart you forget about the miles. I sold my 451 with 115k miles, and now my 2017 453 already has 18k. Smart for life!

Thanks! yeah coming from a 451 to a 453 lets you really feel those improvements. Since htis is my DD, I am going to keep mods minimal, maybe a few cosmetic things, but i dont want to mess with the reliability at all. maybe some vinyl work, but not totally sure yet.
