The insurance I have on my scooter has a digital copy that I keep in the wallet on my phone(iPhone) but I still keep a paper copy of it in the glove compartment just in case it in a state that doesn’t take it.
Btw if you can do it that way the digital Wallet function can be accessed without unlocking the device(iPhone it’s double tap of the sleep/wake button)
Not sure if I would trust a stranger(much less a cop) with my phone though.
