I discovered that the windshields come both ways, which may mean this is part of a parts deal, or perhaps a trim level. I have a Passion 2 door.

It seems they discontinued this option in the comfort package at one point (March 2009 build date) before reinstating it. Mine has a build date of Nov 2008.
If you recall there was an issue with battery drain if both the auto lights and wipers were left in the 'auto' mode. This battery drain was later fixed with a firmware update.
Based on the light/wiper hockey puck (sensor) requiring special adhesive and perhaps calibration - there may have been some 451 windshield replacements that may not have gotten their puck re-affixed???
Odd thing--my 2008 Cabrio has the rain sensor, but doesn't have the auto light sensor, or at least it doesn't have the auto light switch on the turn signal stem. How does that happen?
