I changed the oil but didnt know the flashing wrench was for resetting it cause i just got this car like 2 months ago and i tried doing it how the youtube videos showed me but its not working by turning the key and pressing the button twice then turning the key to off position and holding it and turning the key back on nothing happens all it does is reset the mile trip.

Unfortunately, explaining in a way that is easy to interpret has been somewhat of a challenge. All I can say is... keep trying. It will eventually work if you keep reading the directions closely. The reason it may be difficult for you is because even if you follow the directions to a 'T' there is some timing/rhythm involved to make it work.

I would suggest that you join Evilution.com.uk. They have a video tutorial that worked for me and a number of other people. As Mr. Smart-LA mentioned, it is all about timing. It is imperative that you have the left cluster button depressed when you turn the key back to #1 position and hold it down for what seems like forever. When you see 10,000mi come up, you have reset it. You can now turn the key back to 0 position and you are good for another year.
