I'm in a bit of a pickle. A homeless man broke the front driver side window of my car last night, just because. I woke up this morning to glass everywhere. Called 10 different auto window repair shops, and the cheapest quote I got was $300. My insurance does not cover theft/damage.

With the quotes I received today, I'm thinking of just replacing the window myself. I have a 2013 Sharp Red. The windows are all electric, and I can get a fitted smart car window online for under $100.

Has anyone done this before and is it fairly easy?

I have very minimum car knowledge. But I went on Evilutions website and saw they had a step to step guide. I'm pretty sure I'd be able to do it myself with the help of the guide, but I wanted an outsiders opinion.

I just renewed my tags and got a new battery yesterday, hence why I'm being a bit frugal, since that all cost me about $500. I live in LA, and just want something to hold me over for a bit, so I'm not an easy target with an open window.

Please help haha.
