Before someone tells me to search existing threads, I’ve searched for a couple of hours here and found no useful info.

Does anyone know how to properly access the in-dash tweeters on a 451?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Like the subwoofer, under the driver seat. I think there is a tweeter speaker harness, for the OEM ones.

If you go aftermarket. Crutchfield audio carries a wide selection of audio tweeters. Check out what year car you own. This selection of speakers, are for my 2008.

The OEM one’s are crazy expensive, for what you get. Just one speaker. 2 versions too. There are some post for sale, on eBay.

Will it support tweeters in both locations? Is factory wiring pulled to both locations? Any suggestions for aftermarket door tweeters?
Mine came with tweeters. Not sure if they pre-wired (in the dash) if you have the factory system which did not come with tweeters.

You should go to some car audio shops and do some listening to what they have before you make a decision on speakers/tweeters. They all sound a little different due to the different types of materials they are made from, etc. Definitely a personal preference thing. Also depends on whether you are utilizing a factory or aftermarket radio. If you are using a lower powered factory or even an aftermarket radio with no external amplifier, you want something with a lower RMS rating so the power which you have will push them well. If you buy speakers with a high RMS rating and don't send enough power to them, you may be disappointed with the results.

My issue is impedance. The funky factory wiring is messing me up. Specifically, the way the high level outputs to the under-seat subwoofer and the tweeters are tied in to the channels on the radio harness. I cannot get the max power out of the aftermarket amp for my mids and highs while utilizing the factory-run wiring to the door speakers and tweeters. I don't want to cut any of the factory wires beyond the main radio harness (which I would have to do to separate everything) b/c I want to have the option of putting the vehicle back to factory if I ever sell. (I'm running an aftermarket head unit with preouts for my amps and Metra wiring harness adapter)
