Hello everyone. I hope you're doing well.
I am new to the forum and the smart fortwo ed ownership. I hope you dont mind if i ask you a couple of questions.
I recently bought a smart fortwo ed 2015 with dysfunctional battery with an other battery bought at the junk yard. My mechanic successfully installed the battery. Now i have an error code.
HV SYSTEM-> WORKSHOP.
I would like to know if anyone have been able to find a solution to their smart ED battery.
Any information would help.
Please let me know if you can point me in some direction. Thanks
Best regards.

Reviving a "bricked" HV battery is possible but difficult - it involves issues with deeply discharged battery cells, internal hardware (the BMS unit and current sensor) and internal software (BMS firmware). They all need to be fixed to make the battery operational again. Opening the HV battery pack case is involved and this is strictly do-it-yourself - no mechanic will do it.

Do a search with terms like "brick battery". Start with this long thread:

Ibrahim, you need someone with a MB Xentry diagnostic tool scan and fault trace the codes that you are getting. May require them to recode the instrument cluster etc.
Thank you
If they're not available, I can assist.
