Hey. I've been desperately searching for a salvage Smart EQ for some time that I will be using on a homemade electric race car project. I need the Electric Motor, Battery pack, charging system and any other electronic system that helps to maintain the motor. I am willing to pay around 1000$ for these parts.

I am based in Texas, but may be able to fly to wherever after this whole Coronavirus is over.

Battery packs for smart Ed/eq are very expensive. Dealerships charge upwards of 10k to replace one. So I don't you will score a battery back in good working order for your price. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news mate.

I'm building a Formula SAE car which will be fully electric and use super-caps. It should be around 400lbs and make close to 90 hp. I've realized that the Smart Car's Motor will likely be too hard to modify, so I think I will head another route. Thank you!

That's pretty awesome. Any plans to detail the build on any forums?

This may be harder than it sounds- the modules are heavily software-controlled and all of the modules assume the rest of the car is there.
