SALES GUY NAME IS KYLE REMESIK.... PLEASE ASK FOR HIM

my dealer, the one i've literally bought 6 of these damn things from. and tried to push before (i get 0$ kickback, i just ask that you ask for my salesguy so he gets credits for sales)

my dealer has... 5 left, 2 are auto (all silver one and the blue white) and the rest are manual.

the matte grey manual theyll let go for like 9000$+TTT
the crazy top of the line white/blue is like 10,500$+TTT

the rest are between (priced like 45% off sticker or so)


if anyone wants a 453... cheap, easy, they dont charge any crazy dealer fee ($250 doc fee) they dont charge crazy shipping (i pay $250 for door to door shipping).

sales guy is kyle remesik, he gets the same "credit" for selling a 100k benz as a 10k smart.. so it's nice to get his sales perked up.


if you are eligable for USAA or PENFED or a couple others, they have a $3750 incentive that kicks out some other incentives but makes your price less!

They all show as "5-speed manual" transmissions, including the all silver one which, in the detailed specs, is listed as having a "5-speed automated manual" transmission....:shrug:

I'm not buying; you'd think they could update the listings from 451 info....:)
considering that even at retail price every single 453 sale is a "loss" i really dont think ever gave a ****, dealers are forced to take cars to get other MB allocations and are all dropping smart at the end of the year, im curious to see who actually carries the electric ones and why.

i love the smart, but what i love more is in europe how they really respect and enjoy the smart for what it is.. here stateside everyone is too obsessed with size to understand safety.

I guess two people bought but didnt reference the proper sales guy and the other guy got the credit for selling.

I'd appreciate if people asked for the proper sales guy who set all this up


kyle remesik is the sales guy.

Those two sales probably happened outside of SCoA...that or those two people don't like being told what to do. :D

Wasn't me. I would have asked for him when someone answered. My smart is still waiting for an estimate at the third shop.....
You may want to consider jumping on one of these anyway and just selling yours and making the insurance company pay the difference. Even if they fix yours up like new, your resale will fall significantly as this accident will ding your carfax.

Huh, weird. Who knows, maybe he was unavailable at the time or something.

As a smart car salesperson, I'd like to point out that this dealer is selling 2016 cars in June of 2017. I would not expect anywhere near this type of discount of a 2017. Same 453 model but why couldn't they sell those in late 2015, all of 2016 or earlier in 2017? Clearly they have no interest in selling, marketing, or dealing with smart cars now or in the future.

I'm sorry that some dealers dont care enough about smart vehicles to even advertise the cars with correct transmission and then can't sell them, then they have to show huge discounts to move their distressed inventory. It brings down the market on new and used smart car values which hurts all smart car owners. If they had cared enough to focus on smart in the first place, they could have sold these cars earlier and not caused all smart car owners to be affected by lowering the market value of a NEW 2016 to nearly half price. Your trade-in values are now much lower. Maybe this dealership can afford to take a huge loss to get rid of these cars because they won't carry the brand anymore and just dont care, but other dealers can't. smart dealers dont make much (if any) profit already (many lose money monthly) and this dealer is lowering the value of smart cars and helping to kill the brand. If this is the type of price people read about and come to expect, more smart car dealers will close than necessary.

Again, these are 2016s and maybe they are equiped with odd options or less desirable colors/transmissions if they've been sitting for that long without being able to sell for a reasonable price. Maybe the dealership really just doesn't care at all about smart and just wants to wipe their hands and be done with it.

For 2017 coupes, there are only 76 left in Northeast, 62 left in southern region, 142 in western region, and 47 left in central region. 124 cabrios in whole country. 327 coupes. 451 total of the 453 model left in the US. If smartUSA sells 300 cars a month, they could all be gone in a couple months.

If you or a friend wants a 453 gasoline coupe NEW, now will be your last chance. Demand has never exactly been "high" for smart cars, but now supply is very very low. I think this dealer is going in the wrong direction, and its likely because they'll be done with smart forever when they sell those few leftovers.

450 cars/300 a month = 1.5 month supply (odd options, bad dealers, locations without smart demand will have some remaining)


Rant over. I've been sold out of new gas smarts for a few months & am just sitting on the sidelines anxiously waiting for EVs to arrive...

SmartCarDan, which smart center do you work for? I ask because when you look at the inventories of both Somerville and Lynnfield they show plenty of 17 coupes and quite a few cabrio's in stock. Are all the stock of smarts at one of the centers or spread out between the two. The inventory shows for both centers.

These fire sales have killed the values of any 453s. I spoke with one smart brand manager recently who told me they'd rather not have any 453s as trade-ins because of their super ****ty resale value and low demand.

My 16 M/T has 14,000 miles and I'd be surprised if I'd get $6,000 for it as a trade-in.

I am in Lynnfield. Those cars belong to Somerville. They'll say "location: smart center boston" above the VIN.

ED 451 value/resale has tanked too such that some folks are flipping them offshore for profit. :eek:

smartUSA Business Model - Fire - Ready - Aim? :shrug:

This does not bode well for the all-new 453 ED . . .
