thanks

The leather is really different and not like previous 2013 interior
It is stitched including the steering wheel and dash, feels amazing
I wanted the regen paddles but this car drives amazing

I have one question on the rear there are two bolts sticking out of the bumper and to rusted bolts inside the top cover of the bumper facing up
Whats was that used for and can they be removed? Do they need a key to take out?

That "limited edition" flashlight ED was on my "follow" list BUT, while it was a great buy the shipping East dampened my interest.

Nice find (the interior leather treatment is awesome) and you saved me some cashish . . .

Love the car! Those two bolts back there don't really belong. Normally there would be plastic caps there and if the caps were off there would be a bolt threading behind the bumper. I reckon those two bolts were used for something like a bike rack.

I hope they can come out

Not sure how much work is involved to get those rusted bolts off the top as that panel will have to come off

I saw a picture online on certain bike racks that require a key to remove those two bolts in the bumper.

if I do get them out will probably put the covers back on if they can be ordered

Any suggestions on tint?

Tint and HID or LED bulbs will be my next first upgrade.

I would also like to get the rear brabus lower bumper diffuser with the red reflectors. Will post a picture of it.

Not sure where to get it

Well, either you bought the car from your own dealership or you and the dealership owner share the same first name. I hope that's good karma!

Sounds like you need a VVC code, which apparently is only to be provided to the original owner. Rumors are that the server which allows remote access to the ED will be deprepcated in January 2018 so any access you get will be short lived.

We drove ours 58 miles yesterday, in temps in the 40's F., with wind and rain all day, with the seat heaters going full blast and with the headlights on. Still had 25% SOC, and it took only 11 hours to charge back up on 120 volt. My wife now has it out and about again right now, and our gas engine cars haven't been used in many days.

When i log into my old account i get my 2013 car
It must be in another country as it is in KM now
Wanted to know how to switch and delete that account and add the new car
Can not find the vvc code for my first car. i think the dealer did this when i got the 2013
And yes the owner and i share the same name, maybe thats why I got a good deal

There was another new owner here in the last week who couldn't get their vvc code to work and was in the process of working with Mercedes to try and get that corrected in their systems. It looks like you might be in kind of the same boat.

The app itself has defaults that you can set. The original default is to display in metric but that should be able to be changed under "settings".

Good luck!

Just got an email that my smart has completed charging
My old smart has. New smart was not plugged in.
Will try and contact dealer to see what I can do to correct this and add my new smart.
I did see on line that this homepage access is good for only three years.
After that there could be an access fee.
This should be standard with The Smart ED.

Access for my ‘14 smart should have expired a few months ago. Still working. Think those “3 years” are a scare tactic/myth. Lol.

For tint, if you don’t care about legality I’d go all the way and get 5%. Even the lights of a lifted pickup truck won’t bother you...Though reversing at night is fun.

If you care about legality, I’d go no more than 5% darker than whatever your legal limit is, or the legal limit.

Very nice list.

Previous owner of mine already put in HIDs, so only thing I’ll be adding to mine will probably be the brabus front spoiler. Made such a difference in handling on my gas smart that I want to add it to this one too.

For mount suggestions, I got the proclip vehicle specific mount and iPhone 7 Plus mount. They have 2 locations for mounting. Either the A-pillar or beside the radio. I decided to go beside the radio. (Have the a-pillar mount too)

Regarding the bolts in the bumper and studs sticking up, they are probably attachment points for a previous owners bike rack or such. Just remove them with a proper wrench, channellock pliers or vise grips. Righty-tighty, leftie loosey...

I'm not sure what anyone would mean by a "key" being needed...

There are plastic caps that go over the rear-facing bolt holes that can presumably be purchased at a Smart/MB dealer, or look for them used from a junkyard.
