HELLO I JUST GOT A 2009 SMART im new to the forum
the car have accouple of small issues like the ac not working and the seats have crack on them also dont have the sunshade on the roof I def need to find that part asap the sun is killing me

Have your alloy wheels refinished. Clean your foggy head lamp lenses. Take you car to a upholstery shop to have the seats redone. Go to a AC specialist shop for your air conditioning. The sunshade is expensive new.

Besides an oil and filter change a tank of premium gas with some fuel injection cleaner. Just drive it around. The unknown cost of the AC repair should come before any cosmetic spending. Bay Diagnostic auto repair shop in brooklyn could sort it out when you are ready. In the mean time just tape something on the roof glass to keep the sun off you and the interior while you find a source for the shade and drive it around. Let it get use to your driving as well as you get use to its nuances. I am in New York and would love to lend longer term Smart owners eye as you sort your new baby out. It's going to grow on you really fast. Enjoy.

Its a safe assumption though, even the delaware plate pic is in front of a NYC Department of buildings permit. I put my money om New York too.

yes I will be getting the ac issue fix this week been working too much no time to take it to a mechanic I also have a weird grind when I break that I want to get check the old owner said he replace the brake pad and the from rotors and that's when the noise started im not sure

Welcome here! Congratulations on your new car purchase. This SMART 2009 looks very cool. I'm happy for you. But as for heat, I understand you perfectly. I think that every driver faces these problems until he buys some car sun shades. In your case, I think it's much worse because the AC doesn't even work. Well, until you fix your AC, I recommend you buy some sunshades. They are at a reasonable price and will help you eliminate this immense heat in the car. A sunshade will keep a comfortable interior temperature so you can comfortably sit in your car without breaking too much sweat. I recommend it from my own experience.

Smart Madness sells a sunshade that fits onto the glass roof or they used to anyways. Worked pretty good for me in AZ. Give them a shot.

Cheewawa didn't have one, so my son pasted some Contact paper underside the pano roof.

It worked for him.
