Doesn't take 8 minutes to install, and the cable is hidden inside the mount itself. I ordered a right-angle connector to further hide the cable/connector.

We got a third party one on eBay about 5 years ago. Still in use, though it is typical junk from China. The rubber holder at the top is about to fall off, it droops if you don't crank the back ball socket down tight. Over the five years the part that screws into the radio, has turned gold, since the black paint has faded.

The funny thing is when people see it, they always say, "I have got to get one of these for my car!" We explain it is integrated into the smart radio.

I was worried about it being Chinesium, but it's surprisingly well made. In fact equivalent to a $60 one specifically fitted for our Tesla. No way to really know long term, but the construction and materials are solid.

We had the OEM one, but it barely fits modern large phones, and is clumsy to use.
