ZING !!

as far as the driving experience goes, it is phenomenal.. the ICE engines suddenly seem so archaic, inefficient, polluting..

what they say about ev drivers is partially true , atleast in my case.. i do feel so smug .. hehehehe. Rush hour traffic is so peaceful now.. at each and every stop n go, i am capturing lost energy, which i would have lost in my SUV. !!!! :)
Gawd, I am so dense. I had to look at that pic FIVE separate times until I finally got the joke.

But in fairness, I hadn't seen that it was posted to the electric forum. D'oh!

It's true. It's only been a couple weeks since I test drove the smart ED and 500e, but I keep craving one. Something that must be experienced to believe.
Personally, I love the head snapping instant torque of an EV.

And being someone who enjoys loud engines that can be heard from a mile away, there's a level of peacefulness that comes from the silence of an electric motor.

This car is definitely incredible...I love how "sporty" it drives. Range anxiety really goes away as soon as you start to live with the car.

This is what owning a car should be like. When I was a kid, I thought you just buy the car, and that's it. No insurance, no gas. At least all we pay with our ED's is $30-40/month, plus insurance. It ends up being very economical...and fun!
Madison brought an ED over to Amana during the rally. They insisted I use the Kickdown switch (I was forbidden from using it during the Fun Test Drive Tour). I did it from a dead stop.

Sweet. Baby. Jeebus...

My only giggle being when you use the Kickdown switch, you can watch the car lose almost 1% SOC every two seconds on the analogue gauge...

I am curious if the quiet peacefulness of an EV would affect the amount of road rage seen today. Imagine if the majority of vehicles on the road where all nearly silent EV's. The revving of aggressive sounding ICE's would IMO no longer tempt people to drive aggressively/recklessly. I'm sure speeding (within reason) would still exists, but maybe there will be a reduction in show-boating, weaving and excessive speeding.
