Hi,
I've got a 453 (2019) with full JBL sound system. However the bass is absolutely garbage...
When I'm driving I can feel a little bass coming from the front of the car, but can't feel bass coming from the subwoofer.
So I went to the trunk and had a look at the subwoofer hoping it was disconnected, unfortunately it was connected.
Unplugged it and turned on the car.
I realized there's no difference in sound, so
I plugged it back in and touched the sub while I was playing music.
I can feel a slight bass, but there's no "kick" or heavy bass as I would expect from a JBL system.
It has been grinding my gears for the couple of months I've had this car and my other cars produce more bass with the stock speakers...
Hell, even my old smart 451 (stock) produced a deeper kick than this JBL system
Is there someone with a JBL system who relates to my story ando how do I fix this?

My response may be slow as I live in Europe.

Welcome to the wonderful JBL sound system... it's crap.

I too, have the JBL and can't tell the difference between when my subwoofer is plugged in, and when I've left it on the floor of my shop for the few weeks after an oil change.

I never had the under-seat subwoofer in my 2008 (451), but I suspect it was better than the trunk mounted one in the 453.

I can't find any. I've got Bass and Treble adjusted accordingly and still just not impressed... even for a soundstage that's not much bigger than a helmet.

It's a bummer this model with the JBL is a huge downgrade in comparison with my older 2015 451...
I was hoping it was a (fixable) problem, but after searching on the internet I can't find anyone who is really happy with their JBL system unfortunately.

Yeah I already put the bass at +5 (maxed out) still not what I expected from such a system...

There is a "Bass Boost" button under "Setttings" > "Audio". It's a little tricky to find. You have to scroll to the second page of options.

I don't think that functions with the JBL system. I hear no difference when it is activated with the JBL system.
