I just signed up for the Drive4data study sponsored by the University of Waterloo. For this they plug in a FleetKarma data logger into the OBD2 port, and log data on a whole host of data points and uploads it via cellular. From there I log into the web interface and can few a number of reports on trip details, charging, efficiency, etc, etc.

Hopefully I'll have some good data coming in after a few days.

Just got my first charge detail report:

Start: 7:01:28pm
Duration: 1:57:13 (8:58:41pm end time)
Charger Energy: 6.1 kWh
Charger loss: 0.49 kWh
Start SOC: 68%
End SOC: 98.3%

Some disagreement between this and the vh.smart.com app. It says I reached 100% at 8:37pm - mind you the charging station appears to continue charging after the car has reached 100%

They seem to be interested in more people for the study, but you have to live in Waterloo region. There may be studies in your area too that you can sign up for, or you can just pay for the service direct from Fleetcarma.
