We just wanted to say hello to the Smart community and describe the services we offer for Smart cars.

We specialize in late model automotive programming. The type you would normally take to the dealer, and in many cases, the type they cannot even do themselves.

Keys programming: If you have lost all of the keys to your Fortwo (making it a fortow :) ), we can reprogram the SAM module and provide you with a fully funtioning system including working keys and remotes. It will appear and opperate exaclty as it did when it rolled out of the factory. You may have heard that this is not possible, however, since we are the first to offer this service, that is understandable.

Used module programming: If you have a electronic control unit go out on your Smart, we can program a used one from another car to operate in your car. This can save you money and time depending on parts availability. Again, the dealer may say this is not possible, but it is our niche.

This includes the following modules and probably more:
ME-SFI (engine computer)
SAM (fuse box / body computer)
Instrument Cluster

We have been in the automotive programming business for 14 years and actually in business since 1993. If you have any questions, please visit our websites.

I have always like having 3 keys, can you sell me a third key for my current smart?

Reason for 3 keys:

Last night my daughter lost one of the keys for our P.T. Loser, since I had 3 keys to start with I will be able to program the replacement for that car without the expensive trip to a dealer. You need 2 keys in order to program a third for that car.

Chrysler, Ford and Mazda use the 2-key on-board programming system. Locally, we get $25 for the PT key and $50 to program if you do not have the required 2 keys.

Your Smart has no on-board programming and as long as you have 2, you should be OK as long as you replace the second immediately after losing it.

Since you are not local here, the only reasonable option for us to help you is with a non-remote key substitute. It will start your car and work to add more keys if you were to lose your 2 remotes, you just have to open the doors the old fashioned way (with a key). These keys are $120 each and you can get as many as you like. The only other alternative is to send your SAM module and your keys so we can add more keys.

We must have the car present. It really wouldn't be worth it for you unless you do not have a dealer near you. You could ship the SAM module and keys for programming if it were worth it though.
