It probably won't be too difficult to import it to the USA since there is no engine; therefore, no need to meet emission standards. Since it is probably an off road device, no need to meet US safety requirments.

I've seen a lot of these conversions in Alaska. Real popular on 4x4 pick-ups that see a lot of back country time. I'll post pics when I find them.
