In my CP, I have the display size for embedded images set to something like 625 or 650, close to the default value. The past day oversized images aren't being reduced. My monitor's resolution is 1920x1200 and I have to scroll horizontally to read text which doesn't wrap, due to the picture's width.

Example at 2,592 pixels in width ...

I've rebooted my system, several times.

Hi there, please check it out now and let me know. What browser are you using by any chance?

Thanks,

Using Firefox (Windows 7) and Safari (Mac, iPhone 5, iPhone 4, and iPad 2) here and I have the issue on all devices.

I've stopped experiencing the problem on the computer running Firefox. I'll check mobile iOS right now and OS X later today.

EDIT: The problem is repaired on iOS (my iPhone 4, iPhone 5, and iPad 2).

Resolved? No. No change on my end.

But, if it is only me, and sometimes Neon, I'll live with it. Nobody else has said they've observed this issue.

Why the link to an article about Chrome? It's not a browser issue. If it were, it seems to me I'd have been having this issue all along. Or at least now, on other sites (forums running on vBadvanced). But, not so.

Anyway, you quoted Neon, and he doesn't only use Firefox. Neither do I. I suspect there's a Chrome fanboy in the room, LOL.

Google is already invading every corner of my online experience. I'll be damned if I'm going to use their browser. There are better choices.

I'll check it on my work computer tomorrow.

Oh gosh, I used Chrome once, I'll pass. I'd rather use Internet Explorer.
Google is invasive in their relentless campaign to become a super monopoly...

Noticed the issue on my iPad 2 last night while browsing different pages of the thread I posted below. Seems to be working fine on the Windows 7 computer (Firefox and Internet Explorer) as well as the other Apple devices running Safari (iPhone 4, iPhone 5, Macbook 3.1 (Firefox and Safari)).

Well, I'm at my work computer now. Either something has changed or the fault is in my home PC. The large photo I posted last night has resized properly at this time.

Looking forward to seeing how it looks on the home PC :)

Judging from the large image I posted in this thread.

YES ... it's fixed (at least on my PC). But, the option to view it in actual size has been removed. Oh well, this is a big improvement any way. One can always create a link to an over sized image, as I just did in post #9.

Thank you!

Actually, now that I think of it, mine's actually "fixed". What I'm looking at is NCC's picture, but it's already been downsized to fit. But it looks really large in the new forum skin.

So, I think we can say it's probably fixed.

My avatar is acting weird though. It shows up on past posts, but will not appear on a current post (for example: this one) unless I refresh the page.

I give up! :) This board is being inconsistent! One second, there are no issues, the next, they've returned...

Here's an original post by Raygun: The picture is resized just fine.

A couple posts later, DECON BLUE quotes him and the photo shows full size in the quote:

Using Windows 7 and Firefox.
