Im Considering 20k lumen, 120watt LED bulbs in my Smart. Anyone running these? Is this too much power draw for the car? Too much heat?

Thanks!

I’m not familiar with ones that powerful. Sounds like there would be at least a heat problem. LEDs generate a lot of heat. Don’t know about a power draw issue. LED bulbs just don’t work very well in headlights not designed for them. I’ve researched them more than once for not only the smart but other makes of cars too. Every time I have come away deciding it’s just not the best idea. Why not use a set of SilverStar Ultra bulbs or another equivalent brand. I have them in my 453 as well as other vehicles and am very pleased with them.

That’s what I use in my car. Sylvania,Silver star bulbs. LED’s play havoc sometimes on cars computer systems. If it’s not the right application for that vehicle.

These guys carry LED lights, for all make vehicles.
