Hello! I recently purchased a 2013 Smart Car Fourtwo Pure, I am looking for the cover that fits underneath the dash on the passenger side. I think its to cover and hold in the tirefit kit? And also, I noticed a connector with a blue and orange wire, is that for the right speaker? Thank you in advance!

Sounds like the plastic foam cover that holds the tire kit and the tow hook....

I just looked at the top to figure out which section of the forum we are in, ie. hopefully not the Classifieds. Can a '13 be a 450? Anyways, on my way to the computer to check....

Now, this is a 2013? I could have sworn 2012 and up get a knee airbag in that area. Or is the airbag just above that area? Hmmm. BRB...

That picture is more confusing..... the tire kit can't and didn't fit "under the dash" and you are right, from 2011 on there's a knee airbag there. :shrug:

I honestly think he meant the tire kit is under the floor mat right there on the bottom, but since I haven't had a smart in almost a year, I don't remember if the airbag is supposed to be there, or just above that area. (Should be getting CEL on the dash if it's missing)!!!

Anyways, I found this old pic of the area (pre knee airbag that is)!:

Sorry everyone! I was the one confused. I thought there was a cover that went over this particular area. I bought this from a dealership and they have me a fix a flat kit. I thought they gave it to me because the tire fit kit was missing but I pulled up the carpet and found the original compressor! I thought the kit went right underneath the dash and that there was a cover missing. Sorry guys!

Sorry everyone! I was the one confused. I thought there was a cover that went over this particular area. I bought this from a dealership and they have me a fix a flat kit. I thought they gave it to me because the tire fit kit was missing but I pulled up the carpet and found the original compressor! I thought the kit went right underneath the dash and that there was a cover missing. Sorry guys!

Don't be sorry! I lost my smart end of May last year otherwise I would just run out and take a peek. Having those EPC diagrams to look at is just a maze for me at times. You have to pick the correct group and subgroup, which sometimes is hard for me to figure out. The tire kit has an expiration date, somewhere on it. Your original one may have expired or is close to expiring, hence the reason they gave you a replacement. I personally put one of these in the smart:

Might need to add a plier to pull out whatever nail/screw gets in a tire....

I'm actually having trouble seeing the pictures both on Tapatalk and Google Chrome. Once I do I'll try to figure out what those wires are. The area you circled is what I understood you were looking for. No misunderstanding there. It does look unfinished as it is. It is just hard to find something without the actual cover to reference, (at least for me)....
