Hello all,

I'm ordering a set of Brabus monoblock7s and unlike the US versions these are 16" front and 17" rear.

The tires I need are:

Front: 175/50R16
Rear: 225/35R17

I have preferences of what I'd like in a tire but at this point I'm finding it difficult to locate anything in this size. Does anyone have any good sources for Brabus wheels? I want to stick as closely as possible to the recommended sizes.

Thanks.

Such a hard time finding the correct sizes in the same brand. I think I've figured it out though. Looks like Yokohama makes a matching set In those sizes but a pair of the tires will have to come from EU.

Costs a little more but I'll have a name brand tire and a matching set on the correct OEM sizes.

Is there any reason why you don't run 17" Brabus wheels on the front?
They're sold as a staggered set. Here in the states they were 15/17". For some reason this set is 16/17".

$2000 shipped for a brand new set of Brabus rims is a value I can't pass up. Just have to jump through some hurdles to find the right tire combo.

I have a 16/17 (Euro) Monoblock 6 set for the 451 mounted on a 450.

The Front tire is a 175/50/16 which I've only been able to find in Europe, so shipped to the USA works out to about $600 a pair (tire cost, shipping, import fees, tax, etc).

Tire availability makes the 16/17 combo a bad choice here in North America.
The 17/17 combo is a bad choice for the roads here in the US if you actually drive the car, you will hit a pothole and bend that fragile and expensive 17" rim.

North America got the 15/17 combo and it is the best set for tire availability and durability because the 15s up front offer more sidewall.

One of the things I have found on the 'OEM' Brabus tires for the 15/17 set 175/55/15 Front, 225/35/17 Rear is the car severely understeers.
I would consider going back to the 'OEM' 20mm wider in the rear tire.

#2 - The front tire (175/55/15) is a T rated tire.
A much more comfortable ride and available tire setup satisfying the 'OEM' 20mm width difference (the built in understeer) would be 185/55/15 Front, 205/40/17 rear.
These tires also come in Z and W ratings as well; a much better tire than the 'OEM Brabus' T rated tire.
You can also pick up a matching W rated set of four tires installed in these sizes for the same cost as the two 16" tires I had shipped to my door.

Good info. I've never noticed any understeer conditions on my last set of Brabus wheels (2013 sharp red) but certainly having a 50mm delta between front and rear wheels wouldn't help that condition.

I do like the idea of being able to do a full rotate and balance. Maybe a set of 15s all around is all I need.
