I would prefer a Pure model with a manual transmission and solid roof, but I am not picky as long as it is a good deal. However, I am not interested in the convertibles.
It does not have to be in great shape, as long as it can pass the Missouri Safety Inspection.

If by manual transmission you mean a clutch pedal, that's not available on the 451. They are all automated manual transmissions.

That is fine. Sorry, I am still not too familiar with the differences between the various generations.

I saw the sale thread, but that car is 'too nice' for what I want. What I am looking for is a casual project car that I would not feel bad taking apart and modifying. Tastefully, of course.

Aristocrat motors in Merriam Kansas. Has a used 2016 453 for sale. Proxy model. Pretty cheap. $14k. I'd buy that over any used 451. You still have that factory warranty.

Go to cars.com. For used smart cars for sale in the KC metro surrounding area. There's 59 used ones all prices, in a 250 mile range of the city. Simple as that to located one.

I would get a Passion instead of a Pure as they have the paddle shifters so you can manually shift the gears.

$6000 for a 2014 and $6500 for a 2015. All of them covered under the Mercedes warranty.

It should be a cheap one way flight from Kansas City.
