I just spent a week walking the neighborhoods of Vienna, Austria. There, not only do they smart cars galore, they have competing models from the likes of Opel, Skoda, and even MB. It was nice to see that while we drive a bit of a rarity in the U. S., smart cars are everywhere in other lands. Heck, some even get special treatment!

Yes indeed because Europe is the perfect place for them. Most of Europe streets are no bigger than our average city alley. People need to understand something, the streets for the most parts around the world were design before Jesus, ours on the other hand barely have a little over 100 years on them. And even on the streets that go back to the 18th century they are still wider than most of theirs.

Then we get to the cleverness of how the car manufactures along with the help of the car rags have purposely set-out to brainwash the mass's and sabotage any effort to change perceptions.

Then we find out they are only producing electric because it's been mandated. And what do we get, electric that put's around 75% out of car ownership. And that cleverness is being helped and propelled, you guess it, by government.

The game is rigged.

Opel makes the Adam and Skoda makes the Citigo and nearly as small is the Mercedes-Benz A Class (I saw many A170 and A180s. I even saw an AMG A170, which I thought was hilarious!). The A Class has undergone a "face lift" and is being stretched and enlarged to make it palatable for the American market.

I'm sure there are other brands as well (e.g., Renault, Citroën, et al) given the heterogeneity of the EU, but those were the brands I saw and took note of.
