We torque them to 70 ft-lbs, which is pretty much standard for 12x1.5 bolts as used on Benz's and VW/Audis.

The torque is actually printed on the door jamb along with the tire inflation pressures. The guy at the local Les Schwab tire store was on hold with 1-800-smartusa for 10 minutes before they told him it was right there.

No, it's not.

At least not on my car. just seating capacity 2, cargo + occupant never excede 507 lb. tire size and air pressure, compact spare none.

No where do I see wheel torque.

Page 270 of the manual specifies the wheel bolt torque: "Each bolt should be tightened to a torque of 81lb

You can always tighten it until it snaps and then back it off 3 turns......this would be the correct torque.
