Anyone else hear about this? I was going to trade in my 2009 Smart Cabrio for a lease for a 2016 pure so I applied online for the lease and got a call saying they no longer have Smart?s and are not sure where in Michigan the Service center will be moving to.

Here we are almost two years later. I called the MB dealer in Ann Arbor MI who still services the vehicles. I'm seriously considering taking my car there-- actually both of them, I just got another one from a guy.

The biggest problem that I have found is the firmware. Once I get this resolved/updated, I am expecting the other issues will go away or be ignored (for example, I will ignore TPMS), but I can't ignore TCM so off to the dealer we go.

Also I bought a 980 iCarsoft OBDII scanner and it would not reset codes as promised so I sent it back.

More to come, but feel free to send me feedback on your experiences with Ann Arbor dealerships.

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Anyone have any feedback on the Ann Arbor smart dealer or any independent who works on smart?

I have now used the Ann Arbor MB service. The tech was Tim Price, nice and very professional. They resuscitated my car and cleaned out fuel tank, replaced plugs and coils, checked fluids, replaced battery, and identified separate issue with exhaust system which I plan to handle. Very reasonable for the efforts. Saw 13 other smarts there when I came to pick up mine, they have a regular service area for the cars.
Certainly they did NOT overcharge; in fact, charged less than they had estimated by 300.00.
