I just saw on the smart.ca website that MB is offering a $3,000 rebate on the coupe and $4,000 on the cabriolet. This offer is good until the end of December 2012. In addition current four-two owners get an additional $1,000. That offer is only valid to the end of November 2012. Add in the $5,000 rebate for BC and that's $9,000 off a cabriolet ED.

Keep in mind, the $8500 in Ontario is after tax... if you're trying to apply it directly to the MSRP it's closer to $7522.16, plus the $3000 discount. In Ontario, a basic no-option coupe would be about $197/month with taxes on a 3 year lease with 12,000km's/yr and $2400 down. With loyalty it's closer to $162/month.

So yes - the price would be close to $26,990 -> $15,467 before adding options/dealer fees and taxes. I don't know for sure yet, but used prices in a few years may be based on depreciation from MSRP price... it could be a very good investment.

Also - many don't know about fleet discounts (in Canada)... if you have a business and the car is registered in the business name, there's an additional $500 off.

That being said, I'm available at my dealership in the Toronto area (Markham) if anyone wants more pricing/inventory info on ED or ICE
