I wanted a GoPedal so bad but living on Social Security ain't gonna let it happen and then I found the Eittar on Amazon for $83. It does everything.

Looks promising , did a search and I’d imagine it would work . But I haven’t found any info on someone who used it in a Smart .

I did some research on Amazon and Google and I'm not convinced it's any better than that "voltage stabilizer" I tested some eight years ago. Granted, it shouldn't be hard to make a real one of these. All they do is remap the throttle. However, the lack of reviews for any vehicle is a huge red flag. And while I'm not afraid of Chinese products (I ride a Chinese scooter capable of crossing the US, after all), the lack of reviews (from anyone) and the fact that you can only really buy it from aliexpress (that's where that eBay seller got it and where the Amazon seller's getting it) are huge red flags.

Edit: Alright, did some more research. The Eittar unit isn't special in any way. There's some company in China that churns out these things and other companies simply slap their brand names on them. Thus, here's an eBay review:

A must, for a smart fortwo!

I recently bought this electronic throttle controller for my 2014 smart fortwo, and i have to say so far is one of the best investments i have done to my car. You can't go wrong with this 9H and for that price I'll say you have nothing to loose. 100% recommend it
So it seems I'm wrong and it apparently does work! It probably won't be as robust as a GOPedal or SprintBooster, but for only a fraction of the price that can be forgiven

I do not know how much the OP paid, but from my research, the price does not seem that reasonable. If bought in bulk, they are fairly cheap, but for my money, I will stick with the GoPedal, a known product.

Did you get one? I almost pulled the trigger last night but I am so close to having enough go pedal money in my sock drawer I thought I would ask if you got one of them first to see if it in fact could be an alternative. I saw the $83 dollar one, many others have any number of higher prices. But since I am on target with mid January purchase of the 249.00 go pedal I didn't chance it. I would be more apt to risk getting one after I get the go pedal..... Then again I am a little to cheap for unnecessary risk lol

now that I have had a few days to play with it I must say you can really feel the difference. It has (EC) 1-9 settings for economy, normal ( NOR-no settings) and (HH) sport mode with 1-9 settings. The pedal is real touchy in anything above HH1 but it will scoot.

On my 08 I ran the cable thru an opening in the left pocket by the steering wheel and mounted it to the back wall in the left pocket.....you can see the settings (green lights)thru the steering wheel.

I must say,the feel in my pants actually feels like MORE horsepower
Hope you enjoy it

Does it help with the acceleration 'lag' when taking off from a stop light or stop sign? That was my main reason for wanting the pedal remapping. The cruise I got has that feature and does a great job, but it ain't cheap! this sounds like a more reasonable costing feature.

Ultimately that is the link I went with, that it does not show or refer to "Eittar" I was trying to confirm first. So well see what shows up lol.

sorry I have been so lax in getting back to you...my wife and I have taken up Uber (delivering food) and are doing very well.

I generally ride in EC1 most of the time and it feels like it is detuning the response but does help on gas. If you put it in HH and the higher the number will jerk your head at a traffic light. If I am sitting at a light and want to be agressive that is the setting I use (but the pedal is really touchy). If you just cruise it almost feels like it is hunting. As I mentioned I mounted it in the pocket to the left of the steering wheel and ran the wire up and over the back pocket wall and down to the throttle position switch.

feel free to comment or ask me any questions on here or PM
