The Level 1 charger on the 2013-2017 (451 and some early 453) electric smarts was rated for a higher max Amperage than the level 1 charger that was provided with the 2018-2019 smart EV/EQs.
If I recall correctly, the old EVSE was rated up to 15A/120V so 17.6 battery/1800= ~10 hours (+ time for resistance so actually about 12-13 hours), vs the newer one is 10A/110V so 17.6 battery/1100= ~16 hours. (+ time for resistance, etc so actually closer to 19-20 hours). Not exact figures but close to those.
