Started in 2011 as National Plug In Day with the simple idea to hold simultaneous events across the country on the same day, by popular demand we have expanded to an entire week of events and changed the name to emphasize the thing we all want to do: drive electric.

We expect National Drive Electric Week 2017 will again grow to include more events in more cities with more drivers reaching out to share the many advantages of driving electric with the public.

There are a few sizable groups in the Pacific Northwest and they are all touting this event as well. The Seattle EV association has an event going on in Issaquah, a fairly wealthy city about 15 miles east of Seattle:

Not that it's a contest but the event in Steilacoom (VERY small town outside of Tacoma) is double that of any other Washington NDEW show this year. Nonetheless, support your local shows! I'll be in Steilacoom with my ED.

Miss Kitty and I will be at the Poolesville, MD event on Sept 16.
(Last year it was the largest EV gathering on the East Coast)

That's almost 60 miles one way so unless I can fully charge at that event to get home, it's out of reach for me. It would be fun to go to, though.
