Need a little help with climate control

I own a 2015 ED with 35k miles. a year ago the heater stopped working. I couldn't find a blown fuse.
I am hoping someone here has fixed any of this issue and can explain how. I am pretty mechanically inclined.
One last thing. When I first drive off after the car is parked for a while I hear and feel a thumping in the front. it only lasts a few seconds and doesn't do it again for the rest of the drive. I'm not sure if this is new or I just never noticed before.

thank you.

Might need a new blower motor. Here’s the fuse panel placement….

The thumping after the car is started is the brake system doing a self check. :)

Thank you! I wasn;t sure if it was a new sound or something I just started noticing after 4 years owning car LOL

Blower motor works. A/C works great. I think its the heater module.
I had a bad heater booster on my 2014. It was repaired/replaced under warranty. I don't have info on the procedure or know if that's your problem, but I can certainly give you a copy of the work order showing the parts replaced.

I’m pretty sure that’s what it is. Thank you. I web search the part number and noticed a lot of “repair” service in Europe. Seems common I guess. I wish I knew what breaks inside so I can attempt to fix
These were the part numbers used for mine.
451 830 26 00 heater booster
451 829 00 01 engine - I think this is the blend door motor

My heater module malfunctioned a couple of years ago. There were only two settings: ice cold or blazing hot. My mechanic in Brooklyn, whose business is expert at smart, told me only Mercedes could install and map a new module to the car...to the tune of $800. I had the work done and it works perfectly. I hope yours is only the module and nothing more expensive.
