I have a 2008 Smart Four Two Pasion that needs a CV. I don't know the details on if it's the right or left CV. I have a video of me looking under the car. All I can say is I've called just about every place I can find and no one is either willing to work on the car or if they are they tell me they cannot find the part. This place Might have the part if I can identify Exactly what part I need - Drivetrain & Suspension — Call to place an order The one guy who is willing to do the work, says he can't get the part but I don't know if he's tried this company. He had the car in his shop and told us to have the car towed back to us because he could not find the part. Here is the video.

Can anyone help? I live in Metairie Louisiana or rather The Greater New Orleans Area

Thanks but.. That company wants 400 dollars. The folks who did try and find the part told me the part costs only about 100 dollars only no one had the part available. I'm not desperate enough yet to spend 3 times the amount of my quote. This video shows removing the axles. Any good mechanic should be able to do this with no problems.

…wow…from the video I think the first thing is to find out is how the CV lobe’s assembly came off the planetary assembly…
…next is finding where the inner snap ring is…then…how bad are the inner splines…and so on and so forth until you get to the root cause of how this happened…
