2005 450 with only one key fob working.
2nd key, dog chomped the fob and ruined buttons and electronics.
How do I get a key fobs reprogrammed in Iowa?

I went to a locksmith that programs keys here in Colorado and they could not do the 2005 Smart.
Reason being they only had the ones released in North America (2008+) in their system.


MB is no help for the same reason...


Guess I'll have to buy a $1000 bi directional OBD2 scanner if I don't run into a mechanic that has one to get keys programmed for my 450s...

They can do a 450 key but you'll have to send them the ECU...

Kinda worries to send my only key and the SIM off to SOS but I am gonna do it. Mercedes dealer wanted $450 for it.
