I leased a 2018 yesterday here in the DC area. Love the car so far. It is great fun! I have a super short commute from inside of city of Alexandria to old town Alexandria. The car is a hoot! Probably will be selling my GTI. Wish I would have thought of this earlier. Got what I think was a good deal on the lease from the dealer, but frankly, who cares. A few hundo this way or the other doesn't matter. Anyways, looking forward to searching though these forums and seeing what folks have to say.
Too bad smart is leaving the US market. I am sure we can work a part supply from europe or china when they move production. This car is so hilariously awesome. I can't get over it.
