Nice to see smart nominated, but no way....:)
Just another list. In 1971, MT selected their ten "best" cars - American Motors Gremlin, Ford Pinto, Chevrolet Vega, Chevrolet Camaro, Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, Dodge Charger, Mercury Cougar, Oldsmobile Toronado and Buick Rivera and nominated them for Car of the Year.

I'm with JW, the 453 will be the Gremlin of the 2015 Euro "Car of The Year" list.

Oh and the 1971 MT Car of the Year - Chevy Vega . . .

A car that was so unreliable that it seemed the only time anyone saw one on the road NOT puking out oily smoke was when it was being towed.

Hope so, but Car of the Year...that will be a stretch. :)
I don't know. As the article points out, the Euro car of the year is usually a little more pratical than the US version. smart may have a chance.

Chysler won it in 1976 & 1978. The Simca C6 won in '76, and the Chrysler Horizon (Euro version of Dodge Omni/Plymouth Horizon) in '78. They seem to like to give that award to practical cars.
