we got our esmart about 10 days ago. We really like it and are learning to work with the restrictions that come with EV driving.

A couple of issues though:
1. There is no cruise control. We waited 4 months to get an EV with cruise control, but after it arrived, the sales guy said that the car cannot be configured with it because it drains the battery too much. However, cruise control is described in the printed user manual that came with the car. We're just leasing the car, but it's been hard on my leg since I generally use cruise control for any freeway driving above 60 mph that will last more than a few minutes.

2. the speedometer is inaccurate. I was wondering why everyone was passing me on the freeway, and it turns out that when it says it is going 65 mph, it is really only going 60 mph. grr.

cheers everyone!

Your sales dude was lying.

Unless you also have the regeneration paddles, cruise control is available….I would tell him you want a car with cruise control.
