Hello, just found this place. My smart e Drive has saved me just short of $500 in first month in fuel cost alone. Really really very confused can I flat tow my electric smart car or not???
Even went to dealer, they said "NO." but could or would not explane WHY? Sure would like to know...
Hope everyone has a happy and prosperous new year!

Welcome!

ED cannot be flat towed from what I’ve seen around. Sure it has something to do with the fact that it’s powered by a direct drive electric motor as opposed to a transmission that can be placed in neutral.
