Smart's new 'Pure' trim makes its city cars even more affordable
City living has just become even more affordable thanks to the new entry level Smart cars, costing from less than £10,000.
Called the Smart Pure, it is the entry-level model for both Fortwo and Forfour, and features a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine. Prices start at £9,995 for the two seater and £10,490 for the four.
This puts them directly in line with the Fiat 500 Pop, which costs from £11,490, and the Vauxhall Adam Jam which costs from £12,665, showing both Smart cars to be the cheaper option, whether in two or four door guises.
Producing 71bhp with a top speed of 94mph, both the Smart Fortwo and Forfour emit just 97g/km of Co2 and give the car an average of 67.3mpg.
