Kid hit deer 2 yrs ago so car has sat went to move car battery was dead had kid hook charger over night and come to find out he hooked it up backwards. So I got new battery no power to starter now

.... I'm sorry, but just have to ask..... how old is "kid" that he didn't know red to red, black to black? lol

With it sitting overnight hooked up reversed, I'd be worried about there being far more damage than just potentially the battery and starter...

He fried something hooking the charger, in reverse.
