Stopped at CarMax last Friday just to look around. I asked if they had any smart EV's. The sales lady checked the computer and told me there wasn't any in the entire Carmax system. She asked a manager and he told her carmax didn't handle smart EV's because of the questionable BAP, some cars have one, some don't. It was something they (carmax) didn't want to get into.
I have no idea if that was true or not? It seemed strange there wasn't even one available, when I saw two sitting at a local used car dealer here that I had posted pictures of .

Local car dealer, and Carmax. Are two different franchises. Lots of EV's on Cars.com. Not that hard to find one.
They probably don't have the availability to maintain, and service them. Such a a niche vehicle. Their are a few at Carsgurus.com too.

There are a few "misrepresentations", still clouding the site.
Such as BAP, and the real cost of a new/reconditioned Traction Battery.
This probably deserves it's own thread, so I'll be back !

I did find a part number once, and looked it up on one of those online discount parts sites. Was mighty expensive. (Hopefully it wasn't me that gave misinformation!)

No, it wasn't you.
It is and has been MB Corporate, Marketing and Financial,
with partcipation by the smart Centers, doing what they were intially told to do and now, they have been kept at best, uninformed, or at worst misinformed about the changes.
The result is unfair to the customers and unfair to the Centers, a result of old fashion Corporate cleverness/greed, in the guise of, "we are doing this for your benefit." e.g. we are lowering your smart lease payment and providing you protection from battery failure.
It worked for them so why kill it/acknowledge it has been terminated, while there may still be a few dollars left in the scheme.

What changes? What misrepresentations? What was terminated? What, then, is the cost of a battery (the $20-somethnig thousand amount was right out of the MB parts catalog). You are talking in cryptic riddles.

They had none at CarMax six months ago when I was shopping. I found mine through TrueCar (http://www.truecar.com). There you see the price you're going to pay. Nice!
