.... i can't help but feel like they've completely ignored what an actual "sinkhole" is. That was just the land deciding to say "F*ck this sh*t" and collapsing from under the roadway, mostly due to there being a huge hole/quarry/construction zone there anyway. Sinkhole is when "Oh no, there's now a gigantic hole where the street and part of my house used to be."
One lucky Smart...
