Good morning everyone! My opening and closing switch is very loose and I feel like I have to push hard on it to open and close my convertible top! My question is, how difficult is it to change that switch?

Welcome to the forum here. Probably snaps in. Pry is out, with a plastic trim removing tool.

Betsy, it it the switch itself that’s loose, or is it loose in the bezel?

Smark is correct. The switch snaps in place. There are some little tabs built into the bezel that latch onto protrusions on the sides of the switch. If you replace the switch, be careful to not damage these little tabs. The switch won’t be secure without them. Breaking then typically means replacing the whole bezel which means taking the gearshift off. Not difficult, but care is needed.

Plastic trim tools, to pop the switch out with. Won’t scratch the console. You can apply masking tape around the blade of a screw diver too.
