Well after a gentle 3day drive we are back at home in Montreal. Thanks to all who helped makes this a great trip.
After everyone left from Lynn's Place on Sunday we drove via the dragon to Cade's Cove again. We returned via the Parsons Branch Rd. This is an 8 mile single file road that exits halfway along the Dragon. If you were videoing the run you will see a forest road with 2 "NO ENTRY" signs at one of the sharp turns and the is the exit! First gear most of the way dodging potholes and fording streams. We caught up to a jeep and then followed him for the rest of the way. So for those of you who feel the Dragon is just not enough. Try the Parson next year! This is the second time Granny Smith has done it so don't be shy, give it a try!
I'll try to post some photos later.
You took a smart on Parsons Branch road? Twice? :jawdrop: Nicely done... that road isn't recommended for anyone that isn't a dirt bike or a 4 wheel drive. I've never mentioned it at OTD because I didn't want anyone to get themselves in a bad spot.

The Honeymoons's over

Finished the last leg of the trip last night. We're back in Michigan.
Spent Saturday night with Barb & Bud in Canton, GA. They were the ones with the black VW Beetle (smart wannabe) that was with us at the event. Left yesterday morning and added a slight detour through Robbinsville for one more run thru the Dragon. :makingfun:
We had a great time and thanks again to all for a super event.

:badidea: That's just what I would want to do.......small car, NO suspension travel and no ground clearance. I'll pass on that one.

Bet our “we own the twisties" motorcycle Speed Racers really enjoy being behind held up by a smart on Parsons Branch, not feeling the love.

Wait, think I hear something - do motorcyclists play banjos...

Almost 2 weeks, 2000 miles including 4 Dragons, in both the dry and the wet, without a hiccup from little 2011 Munchkin -- until a couple of hours before arrival at home, when the windshield caught a rock. It is still intact, but the crack is long enough for good ol' USAA to replace the window. Thank goodness I decided to reduce my deductible for glass damage to $100, compared to the $500 on the rest of my auto policy. :)

I have commenced negotiating with a couple of dealers to order a 2016. When I turned 4-score years of age I swore little Munchkin would be my last auto purchase, but after reading the latest reviews I find that at my age and state of health I still have at least one lust left, and I am afraid I am going to violate another solemn oath. (My wife says I change my cars more often than I do my socks).

Hey Jim,

Remind your lovely wife that at "4-score years of age" it's still good to be able to change socks and "still have at least one lust left!"

When I grow up I want to be like Jim... ;)
