has anyone purchased the translucent paint from Tamiya and painted the inside of their side blinker to make it blend in with the body panel color?

i did this once on a motorcycle lense that was clear. i painted (brush)the inside and when the bulb blinked the plastic looked just like a real red lense. i was thinkink of trying to conceal the side blinker lens.

the paint is real cheap...

now if we could just find clear taillight lens we could make them disappear till the bulb lit up

Haven't done much on the rest of the lights but I did use some vnt nightshade on my 3rd brake light. Use at your own risk. I got some flack from others for doing this but with a brighter LED bulb it shows fine even on bright summer days.

Tinted installed and oem laying on top.

I would not make any of your lights body coloured. As it is, it's illegal in most states to "smoke" your lights, it would be extra illegal to make them blend in with the body panels; especially if the resulting colour is something typically reserved for emergency vehicles.
