what color are the panels before they are painted?




has anyone done a color/panel change? how long does it take and is it worth doing yourself?

Depends on the panels. Some are painted some are body color throughout. I know my white ones are white throughout.

As far as doing the color change, from what I've read on here it's fairly simple to do in a weekend.

I have had the front end off a few times and it doesn't take too long, about 45 min. but when changing colors you may have to assemble the 3 front parts together which can take a bit more time. Doors take a little less time, and back end including tailgate can take about an hour, again 3 pieces have to be assembled. so with a few helpers, you could do it in a day easy.

I know Red, Blue, and Yellow are all painted on and black is a MIC (molded in color)

I don't think I would take my car in anywhere to have a panel changed. quite easy to do it yourself.

cool, mine is all white but i have really had an urge to do the bright yellow

i wonder if anyone has ever done their car with each panel being a different color....lol

correct, the gas and intake are black like the roof.

I have seen some pretty creative ones over the years but don' t recall one where every panel was a different color.
