Can anyone tell me what this part is (2009 ForTwo) and possibly the part number I can order from MB. I believe it's the vacuum hose after some limited research.

Okay. I think it is a breather hose. The one for my VIN looks shorter in EPC, so if you'd like me to verify if it is the same for yours you can PM me your VIN. (Mine's a '13 model.)

I would remove that hose and take it to an autoparts store like NAPA and you can probably get a generic replacement without having to search for a p/n and going to through the dealer.

I won't open mine up and compare then. Didn't even notice until you pointed it out. (Mine must be quite dirty too then, but probably clean around the dipstick!)
