i would like to see a pic of it. While typing this I thought would limo black window tint be an option.Any suggestions on what to do with my 08 badly faded roof, not in a position to have a dealer do the work. Thanks
I was thinking high end automotive vinyl. Should be good for 10-15 years with a bit of care.Make sure its outdoor UV resistant vinyl or it wont even last a summer.
So anyone know what the bare roof is, or looks like?Tint or wrap, talk to the installer about the effects of temperature on the underlying roof - it expands and contracts with temp changes, which can affect the material used to cover it.![]()

🤔Makes me wonder if it couldn’t be refined somehow. Cut through the top layers of oxidation.
That’s what I thought.The pano roof is polycarbonate. 🙂
Thank you jwThat’s what I thought.

Polycarbonate Versatile and tough, this engineering plastic resists impact. For superior impact resistance in your applications, consider polycarbonate machine-grade thermoplastic. This transparent material has a high modulus of elasticity, without compromising strength or structure. Excellent...www.pepctplastics.com

Great videos. Looks like quite a bit of elbow grease there!
Have any pics?Look like mine when I bought it.I treated mine like a giant headlight, wetsend, polish and shine. Takes a weekend, I did it just like the video it shines like justice. It will need the same care all plastics need that are exposed to the elements.
So the "crazing" effect does not go through the poly carbonate?Look like mine when I bought it.I treated mine like a giant headlight, wetsend, polish and shine. Takes a weekend, I did it just like the video it shines like justice. It will need the same care all plastics need that are exposed to the elements.
