One of our MB club friends is filming an episode for his car show Planet Vehicle, which shows on WJLA TV's me TV on Saturdays.

The MB Club is planning on it, and smart owners are invited. We are working out details at the moment.

This would be a good weekend if the meet & greet at Quantico is still on, haven't heard about it lately, is it cancelled because of the shutdown? Does anyone know?

The Quantico meat & greet is still on. Boycottin the shut down.
If it is shut down, I may be on TV.
Do you have an alternate plan for the Quantico ride? We were thinking of doing the TV event & then Quantico with an overnight stay somewhere in between since we'd be coming from Hampton.

Planning on making a weekend of it, TV & Quantico. Need to start looking for a motel.

We now have a motel in Fairfax, close enough to Ashburn and Quantico yet not too expensive. We're taking Rover and leaving Lil Red Hat at home. Should be able to leave Hampton around 2 PM, wish us good traveling conditions for Friday.

I'll try to show up as close to 1pm as possible, but might not make it until 2pm. Is that a dealbreaker?

EDIT: Never mind, I'm busy THIS Saturday, but completely free the 9th. I'll be there! Hell, I'll probably show up a little early and grab some lunch nearby. Look for the Blue/Silver Smart with the Black wheels and tinted windows. :D

Is this just a "bring your Smart and show off" kind of thing?

Some of us made it there, that's nigeldaniel being interviewed in his smart.
Yeah the television interview was pretty fun. I'm a little embarrassed though, because I was nervous and said "bio-degradable" instead of "recyclable" during the interview. Other than that it was a super fun day showing off all the Smarts and representing Smart Car of America. :D
