Two weeks ago, I purchased my first smart car. It was brand new when I bought it a 2015 coupe with only 30 miles on it with 600 miles now. The car came with a lot of nice features such as power windows, touch screen and Bluetooth menu in the center, leather (or leatherette seats can't tell the difference but it's still nice it's not cheap cloth), heated seats, leather steering wheel and shift knob etc. I honestly don't care if my car is a pure or passion doesn't make a difference but I was just curious as to see which one it was. When I saw the ad for it online, it was at a Honda dealership and they labeled it as a 2015 Smart Fortwo passion for sale. The car was supposed to be a rental/loaner for the dealerships but it didn't work out (good for me right ?) and they had a fleet of them that they were selling all around the country. I bought the last one at that particular dealership there was 3 on the lot one was sold the day before I went, the other right in front of me as I finished test driving mine and lastly mine a few hours after I brought in my old car to trade it in and finish up the paperwork/remaining balance in cash. I've test driven a few smarts before I bought mine some from car dealerships like carmax and others on craigslist. I was originally set on a cabrio but all the ones I test drove weren't newer than 2009 for some reason the newer ones are very hard to find where I live and none of them had low miles either. The cabrios that I drove didn't have some features that my 2015 coupe has like the touchscreen menu and leather/leatherette seats but they had power mirror adjusters something my smart doesn't have. They are not really necessary as they are very easy to adjust with the little knob that's connected to the mirrors on the inside of the car and I can easily reach over to adjust the right one. So mine has a lot of things that the older passion cabrios didn't yet it lacks certain things at the same time. I also test drove a 2013 passion coupe with a pano roof my coupe only has the solid roof. Another thing my car doesn't have is paddle shifters something I heard the newer passions have it doesn't really matter to me cuz I always drive in manual and I only shift with the knob. The wheels are also another reason I'm not sure what trim my smart is they are very plain and basic wheels but they don't look like the regular solid ones that come on most pures I've seen. I know that most pures don't have power windows and usually have cloth seats but mine has all the good features while lacking some I've seen on older model passions I don't know if my car is a pure with a lot of nice extras or if it's a passion I can't blame the Honda dealership I bought it from cuz they probably didn't know either. I noticed on the right passenger side most passions have an emblem that says passion but mine doesn't I will show some pics hopefully y'all could clear up what model my smartie is as I am still a newbie to them.

All passions have paddle shifters, Pure's don't. You can take a Pure and add enough options to make it higher end than a passion. The steel wheels are only available on a stock pure. There would be a label just in front of the mirrors on the black triangle if it was a passion. I would guess you don't have a glove box door either. That is what we have seen on the Car2Go models. Not a big deal, still a darn nice car!!

I'd say you have a nicely optioned Pure and you should be proud of it no matter what! The paddles get in the way sometimes anyhow.

yup I don't have the glovebox door either I like it tho it makes the interior look more quirky but I might get one later on tho to keep the registration in there as it's in the side door pocket rn. Honestly tho I've test driven a lot of passions and many of them didn't have half the features my car has and with a smart car it doesn't make a difference pure or passion it's still a smart it's not like comparing a base model c250 with a c63 amg those are two different cars. All the smarts go the same speed except for the limited edition 101 hp brabus models (god would I love to find one of those as a collector's item). Even if my car is a pure it's anything from basic the only basic things on it are the roof, stock wheels (which Ima change soon), and the manual adjusted mirrors. The sound system is amazing (better the older passions I've test driven) and it's Bluetooth so I don't need an aux cord. It also has heated seats something I didn't see on any other ones I've driven I guess the 2015 w451 pures came beefed up (or at least the one I bought did) compared to the 2014's and earlier. I know they changed up the smart later on in the year to the next gen w453 model but I don't like the new Renault looking one. Only the interior looks nicer but the body shape and lights resemble those of a Renault it doesn't have that German car feel anymore cuz Renault worked with smart to design and power the w453. I know all smarts are assembled in France but the new w453 is French in design and engine and I know the w451 is a Mitsubishi engine but that was done because of reliability reasons as it was better than the 2007 and earlier w450 engine. Renault is not exactly known for reliability so the w453 engine will be less reliable than the Mitsubishi one.

Sounds like a Car2Go smart. We have a lot of them for sale up here as well and they are a bit of a cross option wise between a Pure and Passion. All had steel wheels but half of the ones I've seen here have aftermarket touch screen radios. They also have an odd shaped antenna mounted on the windshield.

If you run your vin it should come back with code P02 Car2Go Edition. As you say the motors are all the same between the Pure and Passion it's just options so if you are into customizing then actually a Car2Go smart is a nice starting point.

Used smarts are all over the place milage wise up here, it took me a while to find a cabrio Brabus at the price I wanted but finally found one after spending months watching auto trader. They do pop up but tend to command a premium price most times.

Yep, you have the car2go smart. White with silver tridion, steel wheels no hubcaps, power windows, no glove box, navigation and heated leather seats. It's basically a opure with most of the passion equipment. These cars a smokin good deals.
