Hello fellow smartcar owners,

I (somewhat) recently purchased a used 2016 smart car, and I noticed something about the car.
Below each of the seats, there is a bunch of wiring. I am assuming that this is for the heated seats, but I am surprised how loose the wires are (especially on the passengers seat side where the entire thing is basically hanging to the floor).

Is there some sort of plastic covering that was removed from the car, or should these wires just be bolted to the seat better? What does the area under the seat look like for a normal smart car? I figure I should have some idea of what this should be before deciding whether I need it fixed.

Nope, that's normal. I have a '16 Prime that has the same thing. Can't place a pistol case there because of Charlotte's web!

Air bag sensors too. Must be slack in the wires to allow seat movement.

Funny how the Liliputian air bags are by your head and along the seat. I guess that's the same concept as the squad car in demolition man...?!

Under the driver's seat are also the connector wires for the OEM subwoofer.

Thanks for the responses guys! I'm a bit surprised that that is just how it is, as I had assumed that someone had removed a part (since it was a used car).
